A Deli with a Story.
Rich in history, the Community Deli has been a fixture on Oberlin Road for nearly 100 years. Originally a butcher shop close to 20 years, then a little grocery store for another 40 and since 1973, a take-out restaurant and deli featuring locally renowned Homemade food and sandwiches. Under new ownership since early 2010, the Community Deli is continuing a long standing tradition of serving great food to the residents of Raleigh.
Some of our well known favorites are the Steak & Cheese Subs, Grilled Chicken Subs, Reubens and Ham & Cheese sandwiches. And back by popular demand, our Baked BBQ Chicken topped with a secret homemade sauce. This is a must try! Plus, we have so much more to offer.
Whether you're looking for some delicious Homemade Chicken Salad, Homemade Chili or just a Hot Dog or Burger, the Community Deli is here for you. We not only specialize in these items but also offer Homemade Vegetable Beef Soup, Brusnwick Stew, Chicken Gumbo, Chicken & Rice Soup and Chicken Pastry.
Need Collards? Look no further as we have them here. It's a local favorite! Other veggies include Butterbeans, Black Eye Peas, Cabbage, Lima Beans, Pinto Beans and Navy Beans. Some are seasonal so be sure to call ahead and we can prepare any size order you need.
Don't forget our Homemade Lemonade, Orangeade or Iced Tea to top off a great meal.
Come visit us today. We open at 7am during the week for Breakfast-to-go with a great selection of Egg, Bacon, Sausage sandwiches, Grits, coffee and much more.
We make everything to order so you're sure to love our food.
